The Ragged School Museum. Now a confirmed visit. The museum includes a permanent exhibition space with information about Thomas Barnardo, the history of the Ragged Schools and the broader social history of the Victorian East End. There is an authentic Victorian classroom on the first floor and an artist installation of a Spitalfields home of 1902 on the second floor. There is a lift and a café. The cost is £5. The journey will be via Blackfriars station and Stepney Green tube station followed by a 309 bus and a 5min walk. We would need to leave Bromley South at 9:45am

St. Bride’s Church. This a 90min tour of the church, the crypt, the charnel house and the ossuary. There are 20 steps down into the crypt, please beware. The tour begins at 2pm so we will leave Bromley South at 1pm, changing at Herne Hill and continuing to City Thameslink. The cost is £5.
